Rafaël (réalisateur, videoartist, photographe, VJ, etc…), travaille avec des éléments de son environnement quotidien pour développer son propre langage visuel. Photographies et images vidéo sont capturés, traités et transformés en séquences rythmiques, tout cela à travers l’oeil du photographe expérimental, le différentient des VJ stéréotypés, et utilisant l’humour comme un élément inhérent à son univers visuel.

Ses œuvres ont été exposées à de nombreux festivals internationaux comme le Festival international du film de Rotterdam, Avit au Royaume-Uni, Outvideo en Russie, Green Film Festival de Séoul, Vidéoformes en France, etc .. Tous ses récents travaux a été distribué aux États-Unis par Independent Exposure / Microcinéma International.

Jérôme & Jean françois Blanquet ont développé un dispositif videosonore de direct qui permet l’expérimentation des relations image et son au moyen de « passerelles » entre les consoles de mixage : câbles, ondes hertziennes et secteur 220 volts. Ainsi le son crée de l’image et réciproquement, l’image crée des sons.

RAW Geometry est une proposition videosonore qui prend forme dans l’improvisation. C’est un jeu sur l’instabilité des machines et de l’humain, un lâché prise, un « abandon » pour une ouverture au sens. Une expérimentation sur les formes sonores et visuelles que peuvent générer les outils de notre époque et faire naître une histoire, une narration.
RAW Geometry est une évolution d’un signal audio et visuel vers une peinture abstraite qui se transforme, évolue et génère des formes hypnotiques.

Jérôme & Jean françois Blanquet have developed a live audiovisual device which allows direct experimentation of the visual/sound’s relations through « bridges » between mixing-board: cables, Hertzian waves and electric power line. Thus sound creates picture and vice versa picture creates sounds.

RAW Geometry is a videosound proposal taking shape in improvisation.
It’s a play on machines and human’s instability , a « loss of control » in order to explore open spaces in search of new sensations and meanings.
